As a Block-Based / Beginner Coding Tutor / Educator, you will provide engaging, hands-on lessons using block-based programming platforms such as Scratch, Blockly, Code.org, and Tynker. You will teach Early Years and Primary students (Ages 5–11) the basics of coding, logic, sequencing, and problem-solving, adapting lessons to the student’s age and learning pace.
Your responsibilities include lesson planning, creating coding exercises, tracking progress, and providing feedback to students and parents.
Vereistes
Education & Academic Background
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Education, Information Technology, or a related field
Prior experience teaching coding to young learners (Ages 5–11) preferred
Strong understanding of computational thinking, problem-solving, and block-based programming concepts
Curriculum & Pedagogical Knowledge
Ability to teach Early Years → Primary levels
Familiarity with school curricula in Dubai, including:
British (EYFS → KS2)
American (Elementary School)
International Baccalaureate (PYP)
Indian (CBSE / ICSE Primary)
French or other international schools
Ability to introduce coding concepts in a fun, engaging, and age-appropriate manner
Technical & Resource Skills
Proficiency with block-based programming platforms: Scratch, Blockly, Code.org, Tynker
Comfortable creating and using interactive coding exercises, projects, and games
Ability to guide students through problem-solving and debugging
Electronic Equipment Required
Personal laptop or desktop (Windows / MacOS)
Reliable internet connection
Webcam and microphone for remote lessons
Access to coding platforms (Scratch, Blockly, Code.org, Tynker)
Communication & Professionalism
Strong verbal and written communication in English
Professional, reliable, and punctual
Able to communicate clearly with students and parents regarding goals, progress, and expectations
Legal & Work Eligibility
Must hold a valid UAE visa that legally permits freelance or commission-based work
Valid MOHRE tutoring/teaching permit required
No visa sponsorship or employment benefits provided
Applicant responsible for maintaining their own legal work eligibility
Compensation
💰 Commission-based
Earn a percentage of fees per session or package delivered
Earnings are performance-based and uncapped
