Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and results-focused Mathematics for International Exams Tutor to prepare students for recognised international school, university-admission, and standardised mathematics examinations.
The successful candidate will deliver personalised lessons based on each learner’s examination board, qualification level, target score, and academic goals. The tutor should be confident teaching mathematical concepts, developing problem-solving accuracy, addressing knowledge gaps, and providing structured preparation using syllabus objectives, past papers, mark schemes, and timed assessments.
Applicants should clearly identify the examinations, curricula, and mathematics levels they are qualified to teach.
Key Responsibilities
Assess students’ mathematical knowledge, examination readiness, learning gaps, and target scores
Develop personalised examination-preparation plans and revision schedules
Deliver one-to-one or small-group Mathematics tuition
Prepare learners for relevant international examinations within the tutor’s area of expertise
Support qualifications and assessments such as IGCSE, GCSE, O Level, A Level, International A Level, IB MYP, IB Diploma, AP, SAT, ACT, GED, university foundation, and entrance examinations where appropriately qualified
Teach arithmetic, number, algebra, functions, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, probability, calculus, mechanics, and other required topics
Explain mathematical methods clearly and compare alternative solution strategies
Strengthen conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving
Teach students how to interpret command words and identify the requirements of each question
Develop accuracy, calculator skills, non-calculator techniques, mathematical notation, and working presentation
Use official syllabi, subject guides, formula sheets, past papers, specimen papers, mark schemes, and examiner reports
Teach examination technique, question selection, pacing, checking methods, and time management
Identify recurring errors and develop targeted intervention activities
Conduct timed practice papers, topic tests, and mock examinations
Analyse student performance and provide detailed feedback
Help learners develop effective revision, formula-recall, and independent-practice strategies
Support students who are moving between international curricula or examination boards
Monitor progress and communicate regularly with students and parents
Stay informed about changes to examination specifications, assessment formats, and calculator requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Engineering, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a closely related field
MOHRE Tutor Permit or eligibility to obtain
Minimum 3 years’ experience teaching or tutoring Mathematics
Demonstrated experience preparing learners for at least one recognised international examination
Strong knowledge of examination specifications, marking requirements, and assessment formats
Excellent mathematical communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Education, or a related discipline
PGCE, B.Ed., QTS, or recognised teaching qualification
Experience teaching Cambridge International, Pearson Edexcel, OxfordAQA, AQA, IB, College Board, ACT, or other international examination programmes
Experience as an examiner, moderator, curriculum coordinator, or mathematics department leader
Proven record of improving examination grades or standardised-test scores
Ability to teach both standard and advanced mathematics levels
Experience supporting learners with examination anxiety, learning gaps, or curriculum transitions
UAE Licensing Requirements
Tutors and educational specialists operating in the UAE are required to hold a valid MOHRE Tutor Permit or equivalent work authorisation. Applicants must hold, or be eligible to obtain, the relevant permit before providing in-person services. Please ensure compliance with UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation regulations.

3+ years teaching or tutoring Mathematics
Experience preparing students for international or standardised examinations
Experience using past papers, mark schemes, examiner reports, and specification documents
Experience delivering targeted examination intervention and revision programmes
Experience conducting mock examinations and analysing performance
Experience teaching learners in one-to-one or small-group settings
