Role Overview
We are seeking a nurturing and experienced Early Childhood Emotional Regulation Tutor to support young children in developing the emotional and social skills they need to thrive during their early years. You will work with toddlers and children from infancy through the early primary years, helping them recognise emotions, manage frustration, build resilience, and develop positive relationships through play-based, developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
Sessions focus on strengthening emotional intelligence, self-regulation, communication, and school readiness while equipping parents with practical strategies to support their child's emotional development at home.
Key Responsibilities
Assess each child's emotional, social, and developmental needs
Develop personalised emotional regulation programmes tailored to the child's age, developmental stage, and individual goals
Teach children to recognise, express, and manage their emotions using age-appropriate strategies
Use play-based learning, storytelling, sensory activities, games, music, movement, and creative experiences to teach emotional regulation skills
Support the development of self-calming techniques, impulse control, patience, and resilience
Encourage empathy, sharing, cooperation, kindness, and positive peer interactions
Help prepare children for nursery, preschool, kindergarten, and school transitions by developing emotional readiness and confidence
Guide parents in implementing consistent emotional regulation strategies and positive routines at home
Maintain professional session records and monitor developmental progress
Collaborate with educators, therapists, and other professionals where appropriate
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Child Development, Education, Counselling, Occupational Therapy, or a related field
MOHRE Tutor Permit or eligibility to obtain
Minimum 2 years' experience working with young children in educational, early intervention, childcare, or therapeutic settings
Strong understanding of early childhood development and social-emotional learning
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in Early Childhood Education, Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), Positive Discipline, Child Behaviour Management, Play Therapy, or related field
Experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, sensory processing differences, speech and language delays, or developmental delays
Knowledge of attachment theory, emotional coaching, and play-based learning approaches
Training in trauma-informed or strengths-based practice is advantageous
UAE Licensing Requirements
Tutors and educational specialists operating in the UAE are required to hold a valid MOHRE Tutor Permit or equivalent work authorisation. Applicants must hold, or be eligible to obtain, the relevant permit before providing in-person services. Please ensure compliance with UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation regulations.

Required Experience
2+ years working with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or early primary-aged children
Experience supporting emotional, behavioural, or social development in early childhood settings
Experience delivering one-to-one coaching, early intervention, or play-based learning sessions is preferred
