Geography Tutor — Al Ain

Role Overview

Provide personalised face-to-face Geography tutoring for school-age learners, supporting physical and human geography, geographical skills, data interpretation, case studies and exam technique within the tutor's verified curriculum and level expertise.

Teaching Scope

• Teach physical and human geography concepts, processes, places, environments and global issues at appropriate school levels.

• Develop map skills, graph and data interpretation, case-study application, fieldwork understanding and structured geographical writing.

• Prepare learners for class assessments and examinations, including British GCSE/IGCSE and A Level, IB MYP/DP, American school pathways, UAE MoE, CBSE/ICSE and related programmes where the tutor can evidence relevant expertise.

• Adapt explanations, retrieval practice and revision strategies to the learner's age, curriculum and goals.

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Environmental Geography, Humanities, Education or a closely related field.

• Minimum 2 years of relevant Geography teaching and/or tutoring experience.

• Strong curriculum knowledge and the ability to explain concepts clearly, build independent learning skills and adapt to individual learner needs.

• Valid UAE residence/work authorisation and a MOHRE Private Tutor Permit, or eligibility to obtain the required permission before accepting assignments.

• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel for in-person tutoring assignments in Al Ain.

• Applicants should clearly state the Geography topics, curricula, exam boards, grade ranges and examination levels they are qualified to teach.

Preferred

• PGCE, B.Ed., QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Experience teaching in UAE schools or supporting multiple international curricula.

• Strong parent communication, professionalism, reliability and child-centred teaching practice.
