About the Role

Requirements

Role Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable and engaging Environmental Management Tutor — O Level / IGCSE to support students studying environmental systems, sustainability, resource management, ecosystems, pollution, climate, agriculture, energy, and human population. You will deliver personalised lessons aligned with Cambridge O Level and IGCSE Environmental Management syllabuses, helping students develop strong subject knowledge, data interpretation, case-study analysis, examination technique, and confidence.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assess students’ subject knowledge, learning gaps, and examination goals

  • Deliver personalised O Level and IGCSE Environmental Management lessons

  • Teach ecosystems, biodiversity, natural resources, agriculture, water, energy, pollution, climate change, population, and sustainable development

  • Develop students’ understanding of the relationship between human activity and the natural environment

  • Teach data interpretation, map reading, graph analysis, case-study evaluation, and structured written responses

  • Prepare students for multiple-choice, structured, and extended-response examination questions

  • Use past papers, mark schemes, examiner reports, and syllabus objectives to guide preparation

  • Support coursework or fieldwork-related understanding where applicable

  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents

  • Stay informed about syllabus updates and examination requirements


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Geography, Biology, Earth Science, Education, or a related field

  • MOHRE Tutor Permit or eligibility to obtain

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience teaching Environmental Management, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related subject

  • Strong knowledge of Cambridge O Level or IGCSE Environmental Management requirements


Preferred Qualifications
  • PGCE, B.Ed., or recognised teaching qualification

  • Experience teaching Cambridge International Environmental Management

  • Experience marking, examining, or preparing students for Cambridge assessments

  • Professional or academic experience in sustainability, conservation, geography, or environmental policy


UAE Licensing Requirements

Tutors and educational specialists operating in the UAE are required to hold a valid MOHRE Tutor Permit or equivalent work authorisation. Applicants must hold, or be eligible to obtain, the relevant permit before providing in-person services. Please ensure compliance with UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation regulations.


UAE Visa & Work Eligibility

Applicants must be legally authorised to work in the UAE through one of the following:

  • Own UAE Employment Visa

  • Golden Visa

  • Green Visa

  • Freelance Permit

  • Dependent Visa with legal work eligibility

  • Any other valid UAE work authorisation


Required Experience
  • 2+ years teaching Environmental Management or a related subject

  • Experience preparing students for O Level or IGCSE examinations

  • Experience using past papers and syllabus-specific assessment criteria
