Role Overview
We are seeking a qualified and licensed Paediatric Occupational Therapist to provide evidence-based occupational therapy services for infants, children, and adolescents.
The successful candidate will assess functional development, sensory processing, fine and gross motor skills, self-care abilities, visual-motor integration, handwriting, emotional regulation, executive functioning, and participation in daily activities. Therapy programmes should be individualised, family-centred, and goal-oriented while working collaboratively with parents, schools, tutors, and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments
Develop individualised treatment plans
Deliver one-to-one occupational therapy sessions
Support sensory integration, motor development, handwriting, self-care, executive functioning, and emotional regulation
Provide parent coaching and home programmes
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Prepare assessment reports and progress reports
Recommend classroom and home accommodations
Maintain accurate clinical documentation
Follow safeguarding and professional standards
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
Valid DHA, DOH, or MOHAP Occupational Therapist licence or eligibility
Minimum 3 years' paediatric clinical experience
Current professional registration where applicable
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
Sensory Integration certification
Handwriting Without Tears, DIR Floortime, SOS Feeding, or equivalent specialist training
Experience in schools or early intervention
Experience working with neurodiverse children
UAE Licensing Requirements
Applicants must hold a valid DHA, DOH, or MOHAP Occupational Therapist licence or an official eligibility letter before providing occupational therapy services in the UAE.
Applicants providing therapy independently must comply with all UAE healthcare regulations.
A MOHRE Tutor Permit alone is not sufficient for this role.
UAE Visa & Work Eligibility
Applicants must hold valid UAE work authorisation appropriate for licensed healthcare professionals.
