Role Overview
We are seeking a caring and experienced Respect, Listening & Positive Behaviour Tutor to help children and teenagers develop respectful communication, active listening, self-discipline, and positive behaviour that supports success at home, school, and in the community. You will work one-on-one with learners to strengthen social-emotional skills, improve relationships, and foster personal responsibility through engaging, age-appropriate coaching sessions.
Sessions focus on helping students build empathy, kindness, cooperation, accountability, and effective communication while developing lifelong habits that promote emotional wellbeing, positive decision-making, and healthy relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Assess each student's behavioural, social, and communication strengths and areas for development
Develop personalised coaching programmes tailored to the learner's age, developmental stage, and individual goals
Teach respectful communication, active listening, and positive interpersonal skills
Help students understand the importance of empathy, kindness, honesty, and personal responsibility
Develop positive behaviour strategies that encourage self-control, cooperation, and good decision-making
Teach conflict resolution, problem-solving, and respectful ways to express emotions and opinions
Use role-playing, games, storytelling, collaborative activities, and real-life scenarios to reinforce learning
Encourage responsibility for personal actions and help students understand the impact of their behaviour on others
Strengthen confidence, resilience, emotional intelligence, and self-awareness
Guide parents with practical strategies to reinforce respectful behaviour, active listening, and positive routines at home
Maintain professional session records and monitor student progress
Collaborate with tutors, educators, counsellors, and other professionals where appropriate
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Child Development, Counselling, Social Work, Family Studies, or a related field
MOHRE Tutor Permit or eligibility to obtain
Minimum 2 years' experience working with children or adolescents in educational, behavioural, counselling, or youth development settings
Strong understanding of child development, positive behaviour support, and social-emotional learning
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), Positive Discipline, Child Behaviour Management, Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), Life Coaching, or a related field
Experience supporting children with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), anxiety, or behavioural challenges
Knowledge of restorative practices, emotional intelligence, and behaviour intervention strategies
Training in trauma-informed, strengths-based, or solution-focused approaches is advantageous
UAE Licensing Requirements
Tutors and educational specialists operating in the UAE are required to hold a valid MOHRE Tutor Permit or equivalent work authorisation. Applicants must hold, or be eligible to obtain, the relevant permit before providing in-person services. Please ensure compliance with UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation regulations.

Dependent Visa with legal work eligibility
Any other valid UAE work authorisation
Required Experience
2+ years working with children or adolescents in education, behaviour support, counselling, coaching, or youth development
Experience delivering positive behaviour, social skills, or personal development programmes
One-to-one coaching or tutoring experience preferred
