About the Role
As an English Literature Tutor / Educator, you will provide structured lessons for students from Lower Secondary to Pre-University, focusing on literary analysis, comprehension, essay writing, and critical thinking. Your responsibilities include planning lessons, guiding students through texts, providing feedback on writing, tracking progress, and preparing students for coursework and examinations.
This role is ideal for educators experienced in literature instruction across multiple curricula and age levels, including exam-focused teaching.
Requirements
Education & Academic Background
Bachelor’s degree in English, English Literature, Education, or a related field
Prior tutoring or teaching experience in Lower Secondary → Pre-University English Literature
Strong subject knowledge in literary analysis, essay writing, and critical thinking
Curriculum & Pedagogical Knowledge
Familiarity with school curricula in Dubai, including:
British (KS3 → A-Level)
American High School
International Baccalaureate (IB DP)
Indian (CBSE / ICSE)
Ability to support coursework, exam preparation, and deeper literary understanding
Teaching & Resource Skills
Ability to plan and deliver curriculum-aligned literature lessons
Comfortable creating and using teaching resources:
Reading comprehension exercises
Essay frameworks
Literary analysis guides and discussion prompts
Skilled in giving constructive feedback and motivating learners
Communication & Professionalism
Strong verbal and written communication in English
Professional, reliable, and punctual
Able to communicate clearly with students and parents regarding goals, progress, and expectations
Legal & Work Eligibility
Must hold a valid UAE visa that legally permits freelance or commission-based work
Valid MOHRE tutoring/teaching permit required
No visa sponsorship or employment benefits provided
Applicant responsible for maintaining their own legal work eligibility
Compensation
💰 Commission-based
Earn a percentage of fees per session or package delivered
Earnings are performance-based and uncapped
