Aromatherapist

Role Overview

We are looking for a qualified Aromatherapist to provide professional aromatherapy treatments and holistic wellbeing support for clients including children, adolescents, and adults in Dubai.

You will use essential oils therapeutically to support relaxation, emotional balance, sleep, and overall wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct client consultations and health history assessments

• Design personalised aromatherapy treatment plans

• Deliver aromatherapy massage and inhalation treatments

• Prepare safe, client-specific essential oil blends

• Advise clients on home aromatherapy use, diffusion, and skincare

• Apply aromatherapy safely for children using appropriate dilutions

• Maintain professional treatment records and follow safe practice guidelines

Minimum Qualifications

• Recognised Aromatherapy qualification (e.g. IFPA, IFA, or equivalent, Level 3 minimum)

• Professional liability insurance

• DBS/police clearance check

• Minimum 1 year professional aromatherapy practice

Preferred Qualifications

• IFPA or IFA member

• Paediatric aromatherapy training

• Additional holistic therapy qualifications (massage, reflexology, etc.)

UAE Licensing & Professional Requirements

Coaching and holistic wellbeing practice is not regulated by a single authority in the UAE; however, practitioners must hold recognised professional qualifications and relevant certifications from reputable bodies. For any clinical or quasi-clinical services, a DHA, DOH, or MOHAP licence may be required. All practitioners must comply with applicable UAE regulations and operate strictly within their professional scope of practice.

UAE Visa & Work Eligibility

Applicants must be legally authorised to work in the UAE through one of the following:

• Own UAE Employment Visa

• Golden Visa

• Green Visa

• Freelance Permit

• Dependent Visa with legal work eligibility

• Any other valid UAE work authorisation

Required Experience

• 1–2 years professional aromatherapy practice

• Child or family aromatherapy experience preferred

Required Skills

• Essential oil knowledge

• Therapeutic blending

• Client consultation

• Safe dilution and contraindications

• Treatment record keeping
