Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced GL Assessments Specialist Tutor to support students preparing for GL Education assessments used by schools across the UAE and internationally.
You will provide personalised preparation for assessments such as CAT4, Progress Test Series, New Group Reading Test, PASS, and related cognitive, attainment, literacy, and school-placement assessments. The successful candidate will help students understand assessment formats, strengthen underlying academic and reasoning skills, reduce test anxiety, and approach assessments with confidence.
Key Responsibilities
Assess students’ academic strengths, reasoning abilities, learning gaps, and assessment goals
Deliver personalised preparation for GL Education assessments
Support students preparing for CAT4, Progress Test in English, Progress Test in Maths, Progress Test in Science, NGRT, PASS, and related school assessments
Teach verbal, non-verbal, quantitative, and spatial reasoning strategies
Strengthen reading comprehension, vocabulary, mathematics, science, and core academic skills where required
Familiarise students with question formats, timing expectations, and computer-based assessment methods
Develop test-taking strategies, accuracy, time management, and confidence
Analyse available assessment reports and use outcomes to create targeted learning plans
Conduct practice assessments and provide detailed feedback
Explain assessment results and recommended support strategies to parents where appropriate
Collaborate with Simone’s Tutoring specialists to address identified learning gaps
Maintain accurate records of student progress and intervention outcomes
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Mathematics, English, Science, Special Education, or a related field
MOHRE Tutor Permit or eligibility to obtain
Minimum 3 years’ experience in teaching, assessment preparation, educational support, or learning intervention
Strong understanding of cognitive ability, attainment, and school-based standardised assessments
Experience working with primary or secondary school students
Preferred Qualifications
PGCE, B.Ed., QTS, educational psychology training, or recognised teaching qualification
Direct experience administering, interpreting, or preparing students for GL Education assessments
Experience working within British or international schools in the UAE
Experience supporting gifted learners, EAL students, or learners with additional educational needs
Training in assessment analysis, data-informed instruction, or learning support
UAE Licensing Requirements
Tutors and educational specialists operating in the UAE are required to hold a valid MOHRE Tutor Permit or equivalent work authorisation. Applicants must hold, or be eligible to obtain, the relevant permit before providing in-person services. Please ensure compliance with UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation regulations.

Dependent Visa with legal work eligibility
Any other valid UAE work authorisation
Required Experience
3+ years in teaching, assessment preparation, or educational intervention
Experience preparing students for GL Education or comparable standardised assessments
Experience using assessment data to identify and address learning gaps
Experience delivering personalised one-to-one support
