About the Role
As a Music Tutor / Educator, you will provide tailored lessons in one or more areas of music, including instrumental tuition, vocal training, music theory, composition, digital music production, and exam preparation. Your responsibilities include planning lessons, providing practice materials, tracking student progress, and adapting teaching methods to meet each student’s level and learning objectives.
This role is suitable for educators experienced in Early Years → Secondary / Pre-University levels, supporting skill development, confidence-building, and exam or school preparation.
Subjects / Specialisations
Instrumental Tuition: Piano, Guitar, Violin, Drums, Keyboard, Flute, Cello, etc.
Vocal Training / Singing: Classical, Contemporary, Pop, Musical Theatre
Music Theory & Composition: Notation, harmony, rhythm, composition
Digital Music / Production: GarageBand, Ableton, Logic Pro, music sequencing
Exam Preparation: ABRSM, Trinity College London, Rockschool, or school-specific assessments
Note: Applicants must have their own instrumental equipment to teach/tutor.
Requirements
Education & Academic Background
Bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education, Performing Arts, or a related field preferred
Prior tutoring or teaching experience in music for Early Years → Secondary / Pre-University
Strong subject expertise in one or more music specialisations
Curriculum & Pedagogical Knowledge
Ability to teach across multiple school curricula in Dubai, including:
British (EYFS → GCSE / A-Level Music)
American (Elementary → High School Music)
International Baccalaureate (PYP, MYP, DP Music)
Indian (CBSE / ICSE Music)
French or other international schools
Ability to support skill development, exam preparation, or enrichment activities
Teaching & Resource Skills
Ability to plan and deliver structured, engaging lessons
Comfortable creating and using resources (worksheets, exercises, practice material, digital composition tools)
Skilled in giving constructive feedback and tracking student improvement
Communication & Professionalism
Strong verbal and written communication in English
Professional, reliable, and punctual
Able to communicate clearly with students and parents regarding goals, progress, and expectations
Legal & Work Eligibility
Must hold a valid UAE visa that legally permits freelance or commission-based work
Valid MOHRE tutoring/teaching permit required
No visa sponsorship or employment benefits provided
Applicant responsible for maintaining their own legal work eligibility
Compensation
💰 Commission-based
Earn a percentage of fees per session or package delivered
Earnings are performance-based and uncapped
