Arabic Sign Language (ArSL / LSA)

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Arabic Sign Language (ArSL / LSA) Tutor to support learners in developing effective communication through Arabic Sign Language. You will provide personalised instruction for children, adults, families, educators, and professionals, helping learners build confidence in expressive and receptive signing while promoting accessibility, inclusion, and understanding of Deaf culture within Arabic-speaking communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess students' Arabic Sign Language proficiency and communication goals

• Deliver personalised one-to-one or small-group Arabic Sign Language lessons

• Teach Arabic Sign Language vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, and conversational communication

• Support families, educators, and professionals in learning practical communication skills

• Adapt lessons to suit learners of different ages and abilities

• Promote awareness of Deaf culture and inclusive communication practices

• Monitor learner progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents

• Collaborate with Simone's Tutoring specialists to provide holistic educational support

  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Deaf Education, Education, Special Education, Linguistics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

• MOHRE Tutor Permit or eligibility to obtain

• Minimum 2 years' experience teaching or tutoring Arabic Sign Language

• Demonstrated fluency in Arabic Sign Language

  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Recognised certification in Arabic Sign Language instruction or interpretation

• Experience working with Deaf or Hard of Hearing learners

• Knowledge of inclusive education practices

• Experience supporting schools, families, or community organisations

  
  

UAE Licensing Requirements

Tutors and educational specialists operating in the UAE are required to hold a valid MOHRE Tutor Permit or equivalent work authorisation. Applicants must hold, or be eligible to obtain, the relevant permit before providing in-person services. Please ensure compliance with UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation regulations.

UAE Visa & Work Eligibility

Applicants must be legally authorised to work in the UAE through one of the following:

• Own UAE Employment Visa

• Golden Visa

• Green Visa

• Freelance Permit

• Dependent Visa with legal work eligibility
