About the Role
As a Critical Thinking & Puzzle Competitions Tutor / Educator, you will provide structured lessons and practice sessions for students from Primary to Secondary levels. You will guide students in brain teasers, lateral thinking, logic puzzles, and strategy games, preparing them for competitive events such as:
World Puzzle Championship
International Mind Sports Association (IMSA) events
Local logic & puzzle competitions
Your role includes designing challenges, tracking progress, giving constructive feedback, and adapting activities to each student’s ability and competition goals.
Requirements
Education & Academic Background
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, Science, Psychology, or related fields preferred
Experience working with gifted or advanced learners
Prior experience in critical thinking, logic games, or puzzle coaching is a strong advantage
Curriculum & Pedagogical Knowledge
Ability to teach across Primary → Secondary levels
Familiarity with school curricula in Dubai is preferred (British, American, IB, Indian, French)
Understanding of cognitive skill development, reasoning progression, and age-appropriate challenges
Teaching & Resource Skills
Ability to plan and deliver interactive, competition-focused sessions
Create and use resources such as:
Brain teasers and logic puzzles
Strategy games
Practice problems for local and international competitions
Skilled in giving constructive feedback to enhance reasoning, strategy, and problem-solving skills
Communication & Professionalism
Strong verbal and written communication in English
Professional, reliable, and punctual
Able to communicate clearly with students and parents regarding progress and competition readiness
Legal & Work Eligibility
Must hold a valid UAE visa that legally permits freelance or commission-based work
Valid MOHRE tutoring/teaching permit recommended
No visa sponsorship or employment benefits provided
Applicant responsible for maintaining their own legal work eligibility
Compensation
💰 Commission-based
Earn a percentage of fees per session or competition preparation package
Earnings are performance-based and uncapped
