Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Malaysian Maths & Curriculum Tutor to support primary and secondary students following Malaysia’s national and international education pathways.
The successful candidate will provide personalised mathematics tuition aligned with the Kurikulum Standard Sekolah Rendah (KSSR), Kurikulum Standard Sekolah Menengah (KSSM), UASA, SPM, and other relevant Malaysian assessment requirements. The tutor may also support Malaysian students transitioning to or from British, Cambridge, IB, or other international curricula.
Key Responsibilities
Assess students’ mathematical knowledge, learning gaps, curriculum level, and academic goals
Deliver personalised one-to-one or small-group mathematics lessons
Teach mathematics in line with KSSR, KSSM, UASA, SPM, and relevant Malaysian curriculum requirements
Support learners with number skills, arithmetic, fractions, decimals, percentages, algebra, geometry, measurement, statistics, probability, and problem-solving
Teach appropriate mathematical terminology, methods, notation, and examination strategies
Support students studying Mathematics and Additional Mathematics where appropriately qualified
Prepare learners for school assessments, UASA, SPM, and other relevant examinations
Use past papers, curriculum standards, mark schemes, and assessment formats to guide lessons
Strengthen mathematical reasoning, accuracy, fluency, and confidence
Support homework, revision, coursework, and school-based learning
Help Malaysian students transition between national and international education systems
Identify differences in topic sequencing, terminology, methods, and assessment expectations across curricula
Develop personalised revision plans and targeted intervention programmes
Conduct practice assessments and provide detailed feedback
Monitor progress and communicate regularly with students and parents
Stay informed about relevant Malaysian curriculum and assessment updates
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Engineering, Science, Education, or a related field
MOHRE Tutor Permit or eligibility to obtain
Minimum 2 years’ experience teaching or tutoring Mathematics
Strong knowledge of the Malaysian primary or secondary mathematics curriculum
Experience preparing students for Malaysian school assessments or examinations
Strong spoken and written English communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
PGCE, B.Ed., Diploma in Education, or recognised teaching qualification
Teaching experience in a Malaysian national, private, or international school
Experience teaching KSSR, KSSM, UASA, SPM, or Additional Mathematics
Knowledge of Cambridge Primary, Lower Secondary, IGCSE, IB, or British curriculum Mathematics
Ability to teach in English and Bahasa Melayu
Experience supporting students transitioning between Malaysian and international curricula
UAE Licensing Requirements
Tutors and educational specialists operating in the UAE are required to hold a valid MOHRE Tutor Permit or equivalent work authorisation. Applicants must hold, or be eligible to obtain, the relevant permit before providing in-person services. Please ensure compliance with UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation regulations.

Required Experience
2+ years teaching or tutoring Mathematics
Experience teaching the Malaysian national curriculum
Experience preparing learners for school-based or external assessments
Experience delivering personalised one-to-one or small-group tuition
Experience addressing individual learning gaps and improving mathematical confidence
