About the Role
As a Modern Maths Tutor / Educator (Form 4–5 SPM / O-Level), you will deliver tailored lessons to students preparing for SPM (Malaysia) or O-Level (British) examinations. Your responsibilities include planning lessons, providing homework and exam support, tracking student progress, and adapting teaching strategies to ensure understanding and confidence in topics such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and statistics.
This role suits educators with experience teaching upper secondary mathematics in Form 4–5 / Year 10–11 levels, with a focus on exam preparation.
Requirements
Education & Academic Background
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education (Mathematics), or a related field
Prior tutoring or teaching experience for Form 4–5 SPM or O-Level Maths
Strong subject knowledge in Modern Maths topics relevant to SPM and O-Level
Curriculum & Pedagogical Knowledge
Familiarity with Malaysian SPM / British O-Level Maths syllabus
Ability to deliver exam-focused lessons, including topic review, problem-solving, and past-paper practice
Awareness of skill progression from foundational concepts to advanced exam techniques
Teaching & Resource Skills
Ability to plan and deliver structured lessons aligned with SPM/O-Level syllabus
Comfortable creating and using teaching resources (worksheets, practice exercises, online exercises, past papers)
Skilled in giving constructive feedback to students and tracking progress
Communication & Professionalism
Strong verbal and written communication in English
Professional, reliable, and punctual
Able to communicate clearly with students and parents regarding goals, progress, and expectations
Legal & Work Eligibility
Must hold a valid UAE visa that legally permits freelance or commission-based work
Valid MOHRE tutoring/teaching permit required
No visa sponsorship or employment benefits provided
Applicant responsible for maintaining their own legal work eligibility
Compensation
💰 Commission-based
Earn a percentage of fees per session or package delivered
Earnings are performance-based and uncapped
