Numeracy Specialist

Role Overview

We are looking for a Numeracy Specialist to provide targeted maths support for students who are struggling with numeracy skills, number sense, and mathematical reasoning. You will deliver evidence-based, engaging maths instruction to build students' confidence and mathematical proficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess students' numeracy levels using standardised and informal tools

• Design and deliver personalised numeracy intervention programmes

• Use concrete, representational, and abstract (CRA) teaching approaches

• Build foundational number sense, arithmetic, and problem-solving skills

• Differentiate instruction for students with dyscalculia, ADHD, or SEN

• Collaborate with class teachers and SEN teams on numeracy goals

• Monitor progress and report on intervention outcomes

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education or Primary/Secondary Education

• MOHRE Tutor Permit or eligibility to obtain

• Minimum 2 years numeracy intervention or maths teaching experience

• Knowledge of CRA or evidence-based numeracy approaches

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with maths SEN or dyscalculia

• Familiarity with IB Maths or IGCSE Mathematics

• Maths specialist qualification

UAE Licensing Requirements

Tutors and educational specialists operating in the UAE are required to hold a valid MOHRE Tutor Permit or equivalent work authorisation. Applicants must hold, or be eligible to obtain, the relevant permit before providing in-person services. Please ensure compliance with UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation regulations.

UAE Visa & Work Eligibility

Applicants must be legally authorised to work in the UAE through one of the following:

• Own UAE Employment Visa

• Golden Visa

• Green Visa

• Freelance Permit

• Dependent Visa with legal work eligibility

• Any other valid UAE work authorisation
