Simones Tutoring FZE – Alternative Learner Verification Program

Overview

At Simones Tutoring FZE, learner safety and classroom integrity are essential to creating a secure and supportive online learning environment. While we encourage learners to use their cameras during sessions to help foster engagement and community, we also understand that some families may not be comfortable using video or may not always have reliable camera access.

To ensure accessibility for all learners while maintaining appropriate safety standards, Simones Tutoring FZE offers an Alternative Learner Verification Program.

This program allows approved learners to participate in eligible live online classes without being required to complete recurring live camera verification during class sessions.

How the Program Works

The Alternative Learner Verification Program is a private identity verification process completed directly with the Simones Tutoring FZE team.

Once approved, the learner’s account will be marked as verified for a designated period and may participate in classes without repeated live visual check-ins, unless otherwise stated in a specific class policy.

Verification is completed through a scheduled private online meeting attended by:

• The learner

• A parent or legal guardian

• A Simones Tutoring FZE staff member

During the session, the learner and parent/guardian will briefly appear on camera for identity and age confirmation.

Eligibility

The Alternative Learner Verification Program is intended for families who:

• Prefer not to use cameras during live classes

• Have limited or unreliable video access

• Require accommodations related to accessibility, privacy, or technology

• Need an alternative to standard classroom camera verification procedures

Participation in the program is voluntary and subject to approval by Simones Tutoring FZE.

Important Notes About Classroom Participation

Although approved learners may participate without ongoing camera use, some classes may still require video participation because of:

• Safety considerations

• Interactive discussion requirements

• Hands-on activities

• Debate, performance, or presentation-based instruction

• One-on-one instructional needs

If a class requires active camera participation, this requirement will be clearly stated in the class description or communicated before enrollment.

Families are encouraged to review class expectations carefully prior to registration.

Access to Recordings and Classroom Features

To protect learner privacy and maintain classroom security:

• Class recordings, where available, are only accessible to verified learners and authorized family accounts.

• Simones Tutoring FZE may periodically request renewed verification for inactive accounts or accounts with extended absences.

• Access to certain classroom tools, recordings, or community features may require an active verified status.

Verification approvals may expire periodically and require renewal.

Privacy and Security

All verification meetings are conducted privately and handled in accordance with Simones Tutoring FZE’s privacy and safeguarding standards.

Verification information is used solely for learner safety and identity confirmation purposes.

Simones Tutoring FZE does not publicly share learner verification data.

Scheduling a Verification Session

Families who wish to complete Alternative Learner Verification may contact Simones Tutoring FZE support to arrange a private verification appointment.

When requesting verification, please include:

• Learner’s full name

• Parent/guardian name

• Registered email address

• Preferred scheduling availability

• Any accommodation requests

We recommend completing the process several days before the learner’s first scheduled class.

Teacher Responsibilities

Teachers may still request identity confirmation if:

• A learner appears inconsistent with their registered profile

• There are classroom safety concerns

• Platform policies require additional verification

• Technical issues prevent clear identification

Teachers are expected to follow Simones Tutoring FZE safeguarding procedures respectfully and professionally.
