Oxford Admissions Tests UAE 2027: TARA, ESAT & TMUA Preparation

Oxford applicants for 2027 entry should now be in final preparation mode. Oxford uses the UAT-UK tests TARA, ESAT and TMUA for specified courses. The October test window is 12–16 October 2026, and the UCAS application deadline is 15 October 2026.

Oxford admissions tests UAE 2027: key dates and course matching

The booking deadline was 28 September at 6 p.m. UK time (9 p.m. UAE time), so families should confirm that the student completed test registration. Oxford states that test registration is separate from the UCAS application.

Course choice determines the test: Economics and Management, PPE and Experimental Psychology use TARA; Mathematics uses TMUA; several science and engineering courses use ESAT. Always confirm the exact course requirements on Oxford’s admissions-test page before matching a tutor.

With test week approaching, prioritize timed practice, clear feedback on reasoning, and a realistic plan for the specific test format. A tutor should be matched to the course and test, not simply to general university admissions experience.
