Safety Teacher & Conduct Policy for Simone’s Tutoring

Safety Teacher & Conduct Policy
Effective Date: 28/04/2026

Our Standard for Teachers

At Simone’s Tutoring FZE, every tutor plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, respectful, and high-quality learning environment.

Like leading global platforms, we require teachers to uphold clear safety, communication, and professionalism standards so that students, parents, and educators all feel secure and respected.

All teachers must comply with this policy, UAE law, and our safeguarding framework at all times.

1. Child Safety & Safeguarding Responsibilities

Teachers must always act in the best interest of the child.

Required standards:

  • Treat every student with respect, dignity, and fairness

  • Never engage in any form of:

    • Abuse (physical, emotional, verbal, or sexual)

    • Neglect or exploitation

  • Maintain a safe and inclusive environment free from discrimination

UAE law mandates that all educational providers ensure children are protected from harm, abuse, and negligence in both physical and digital environments.

2. Professional Conduct & Boundaries

Teachers must maintain strict professional boundaries at all times.

Teachers must:

  • Communicate only through approved Simone’s Tutoring channels

  • Avoid sharing personal contact details (phone, social media, etc.)

  • Never request or engage in private, unsupervised interactions with students

  • Avoid favoritism or inappropriate relationships

Similar to global best practices, keeping communication within the platform ensures transparency and learner safety.

3. Communication with Students & Parents

Clear, respectful communication is essential.

Expectations:

  • Respond to students and parents promptly and professionally

  • Communicate any schedule or class changes in advance

  • Use age-appropriate, respectful language at all times

  • Avoid sensitive or controversial discussions unless educationally appropriate

4. Online Teaching Safety Requirements

All online classes must follow UAE digital safety standards.

Teachers must:

  • Use only approved platforms and tools

  • Ensure all content is age-appropriate and safe

  • Avoid sharing harmful, inappropriate, or unverified material

  • Maintain visible, professional conduct during sessions (camera, environment, behavior)

Under the UAE Child Digital Safety Law (2025/2026), platforms and educators must actively prevent exposure to harmful content and implement safety mechanisms.

5. Privacy & Data Protection

Teachers are responsible for protecting student data.

Requirements:

  • Do not record, store, or share sessions without authorization

  • Do not collect unnecessary personal information

  • Maintain confidentiality of student details

UAE regulations require strict protection of children’s personal data and limit how it can be used or shared.

6. Content & Curriculum Standards

All teaching materials must meet professional and ethical standards.

Teachers must ensure:

  • Content is accurate, age-appropriate, and educational

  • Lessons are inclusive and respectful of different backgrounds

  • Content avoids:

    • Hate speech

    • Explicit or harmful material

    • Discriminatory or biased viewpoints

Educational content should be inclusive and respectful to ensure a positive experience for all learners.

7. Reporting & Escalation

Teachers are required to report any safety concerns immediately.

Reportable issues include:

  • Suspected abuse or neglect

  • Inappropriate behavior from students or parents

  • Safety or privacy violations

Reporting process:

  • Report internally to Simone’s Tutoring Safeguarding Lead

  • Escalate to UAE authorities when required

In the UAE, dedicated child protection units and hotlines exist to handle safeguarding concerns.

8. Compliance with UAE Laws & Licensing

Teachers must comply with all applicable UAE regulations.

This includes:

  • Holding valid credentials and qualifications

  • Following UAE education and tutoring regulations

  • Adhering to licensing requirements where applicable

Online tutoring in the UAE is permitted but subject to regulatory frameworks ensuring quality, safety, and compliance.

9. Violations & Enforcement

Failure to comply with this policy may result in:

  • Warnings or mandatory retraining

  • Suspension of teaching privileges

  • Immediate termination in severe cases

Serious safety violations may also be reported to UAE authorities.

Like leading platforms, repeated or serious violations can lead to removal from the platform to protect learners.

10. Commitment to a Safe Learning Community

Simone’s Tutoring FZE is committed to:

  • Maintaining a trusted learning environment

  • Supporting teachers with clear guidance and training

  • Continuously improving safety practices

Teachers are expected to actively contribute to a culture of safety, respect, and accountability.
