CAT4 (Cognitive Abilities Test) Specialist Tutor

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced CAT4 (Cognitive Abilities Test) Specialist Tutor to support students preparing for the GL Assessment Cognitive Abilities Test (CAT4). You will help learners strengthen the reasoning, problem-solving, and thinking skills assessed across the four CAT4 batteries—Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Spatial Reasoning. The successful candidate will build students' confidence while helping schools and families gain meaningful insight into academic potential and learning profiles.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess students' current reasoning abilities and identify areas for development

• Deliver personalised CAT4 preparation programmes tailored to individual learning needs

• Teach verbal, quantitative, non-verbal, and spatial reasoning strategies

• Develop logical thinking, problem-solving, and critical reasoning skills

• Use diagnostic assessments to monitor progress and adapt lesson plans

• Prepare students for school admissions and baseline assessments where CAT4 is used

• Provide parents with regular progress updates and practical recommendations

• Collaborate with Simone's Tutoring specialists to support students' wider academic development

  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Mathematics, or a related field

• MOHRE Tutor Permit or eligibility to obtain

• Minimum 2 years' experience teaching reasoning skills, school admissions preparation, or CAT4-related assessments

• Strong understanding of cognitive assessment principles

  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience preparing students for GL Assessment examinations

• Educational psychology or learning support background

• Experience with independent school admissions assessments

• Knowledge of cognitive development and learning differences

  
  

UAE Licensing Requirements

Tutors and educational specialists operating in the UAE are required to hold a valid MOHRE Tutor Permit or equivalent work authorisation. Applicants must hold, or be eligible to obtain, the relevant permit before providing in-person services. Please ensure compliance with UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation regulations.

UAE Visa & Work Eligibility

Applicants must be legally authorised to work in the UAE through one of the following:

• Own UAE Employment Visa

• Golden Visa

• Green Visa

• Freelance Permit

• Dependent Visa with legal work eligibility
