Sentence Copy Writing and Reading Aloud.

At Simone’s Tutoring, my copywriting and reading aloud sessions for 4-year-olds focus on developing early literacy skills in a fun and engaging way! Children practice copying simple sentences, improving handwriting, and recognizing letters and words. Through reading aloud, they build confidence, improve pronunciation, and enhance comprehension. These interactive sessions use games, storytelling, and repetition to make learning enjoyable, helping little learners develop a strong foundation in reading and writing. A fun and supportive start to a lifelong love of learning! 📖✨

These alphabet recognition videos support early literacy development by helping students identify and name letters of the alphabet. Through engaging, hands-on activities, students practice recognizing both uppercase and lowercase letters, matching letters to sounds, and building letter familiarity. The videos are designed to be developmentally appropriate, interactive, and supportive of foundational reading skills, making them ideal for young learners who are beginning their literacy journey.

In these videos, the student is playing the Phase 2 & Phase 3 Phonics Read and Race Game—an engaging, dice-based activity designed to strengthen early reading skills. As the child rolls the dice and moves along the game board, they encounter a variety of decodable words aligned with Phase 2 and Phase 3 phonics. Each word must be sounded out and read aloud correctly to continue progressing. This interactive game supports blending, decoding, and high-frequency word recognition—all while making learning feel like play.

In these clips, young learners explore colours, shapes, and spatial awareness through guided block play. The activities are designed to encourage early maths concepts such as sorting, matching, and pattern building. Children work collaboratively and independently to stack, connect, and create using large construction blocks, which strengthens their fine motor skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities—all while having fun in an engaging, play-based environment.

Example of lesson
Letter Blending with Open Syllables

This activity focuses on early phonics blending using simple consonant-vowel (CV) syllables. The child is guided to blend two-letter combinations such as ta, bo, ji, and ma by sounding out each letter and then reading the syllable as a whole. A pointer is used to direct attention and support tracking from left to right. Alongside the blending cards, an alphabet reference board reinforces letter recognition and correct formation. This exercise supports decoding skills, phonemic awareness, and prepares the learner for early reading fluency using open syllables.

I help students succeed in their learning journey through personalised, online lessons focused on confidence, understanding and results.
