This Tutor Code of Conduct (“Code”) establishes the professional, ethical, behavioral, and safeguarding standards expected of tutors, educators, instructors, mentors, contractors, and teaching personnel (“Tutors”) providing services through Simones Tutoring FZE (“Simones Tutoring,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

This Code is intended to help maintain:

  • Safe educational environments;

  • Professional educational relationships;

  • Respectful communication;

  • High-quality learning experiences;

  • Student wellbeing and trust.

All Tutors using Simones Tutoring Services (“Services”) are expected to comply with this Code in addition to:

  • Terms of Service;

  • Educator or Contractor Agreements;

  • Community Standards;

  • Safeguarding Policies;

  • Privacy Policies;

  • Other applicable platform rules.

1. Professionalism

Tutors are expected to maintain professional conduct at all times when interacting with:

  • Students and learners;

  • Parents or guardians;

  • Schools or institutional partners;

  • Simones Tutoring staff;

  • Other educators or users.

Professional conduct includes:

  • Respectful behavior;

  • Appropriate language and communication;

  • Educational integrity;

  • Honest representations of qualifications and experience;

  • Compliance with platform policies and applicable laws.

Tutors may not:

  • Engage in abusive or inappropriate behavior;

  • Use discriminatory or offensive language;

  • Misrepresent credentials or expertise;

  • Behave unprofessionally during sessions or communications.

2. Communication Standards

Tutors are expected to communicate clearly, respectfully, and professionally.

Tutors should:

  • Respond to messages within reasonable timeframes where practical;

  • Communicate scheduling changes promptly;

  • Use age-appropriate and professional language;

  • Maintain respectful interactions with students and families.

Tutors may not:

  • Harass or intimidate users;

  • Use inappropriate or offensive language;

  • Pressure students or parents;

  • Engage in manipulative or deceptive conduct.

Where possible, communications should occur through approved Simones Tutoring systems or authorized channels.

3. Punctuality and Reliability

Tutors are expected to:

  • Arrive on time for scheduled sessions;

  • Prepare appropriately for classes or tutoring sessions;

  • Maintain reliable attendance;

  • Notify students or families promptly regarding cancellations or delays.

Repeated lateness, cancellations, or missed sessions may result in:

  • Performance review;

  • Reduced visibility or access;

  • Suspension or removal from the platform.

Tutors are responsible for maintaining:

  • Stable internet access;

  • Appropriate teaching environments;

  • Functional devices and equipment.

4. Educational Quality and Ethics

Tutors are expected to provide educational services honestly, responsibly, and ethically.

Tutors should:

  • Teach accurately and responsibly;

  • Encourage respectful learning environments;

  • Provide educational support appropriate to student needs;

  • Maintain academic integrity.

Tutors may not:

  • Complete assignments dishonestly on behalf of students;

  • Encourage cheating or academic misconduct;

  • Guarantee grades, admissions, or academic outcomes;

  • Provide misleading educational claims;

  • Use deceptive marketing practices.

Educational materials should be appropriate, lawful, and respectful.

5. Student Treatment and Respect

Tutors must treat all students fairly, respectfully, and professionally regardless of:

  • Age;

  • Gender;

  • Nationality;

  • Religion;

  • Disability;

  • Race or ethnicity;

  • Educational level;

  • Personal background.

Tutors should:

  • Foster inclusive learning environments;

  • Encourage positive participation;

  • Respect learner dignity and wellbeing.

Tutors may not:

  • Bully or shame students;

  • Engage in favoritism or discriminatory treatment;

  • Use humiliating or degrading language;

  • Retaliate against students or families.

6. Child Safety and Safeguarding

Because Simones Tutoring provides educational services involving minors, Tutors must prioritize learner safety and safeguarding.

Tutors must:

  • Maintain professional educator-student boundaries;

  • Use appropriate communication methods;

  • Follow safeguarding and child protection requirements;

  • Report safety concerns where appropriate.

Tutors may not:

  • Engage in inappropriate communications with minors;

  • Request unnecessary personal information;

  • Attempt private or secretive relationships with learners;

  • Share inappropriate content;

  • Engage in grooming, exploitation, or predatory behavior.

Violations involving child safety may result in:

  • Immediate suspension;

  • Permanent removal;

  • Reporting to authorities where appropriate.

7. Privacy and Confidentiality

Tutors are expected to respect the privacy and confidentiality of students, families, and institutions.

Tutors may not:

  • Share confidential student information improperly;

  • Record or distribute sessions without authorization;

  • Use student data for unauthorized purposes;

  • Disclose personal information publicly.

Use of learner information remains subject to:

  • Privacy Policies;

  • Learner Privacy Guide;

  • Children’s Privacy and COPPA Policy;

  • Applicable laws.

8. Recordings and Educational Materials

Tutors may only use recordings, screenshots, worksheets, educational resources, or student materials in accordance with:

  • Platform policies;

  • Consent requirements;

  • Intellectual property rules;

  • Applicable laws.

Unauthorized sharing or commercial use of student materials or recordings is prohibited.

Tutors remain responsible for ensuring they have rights to educational materials uploaded or used.

9. Platform Integrity and Off-Platform Conduct

Tutors may not:

  • Circumvent platform payment systems;

  • Solicit unauthorized off-platform payments;

  • Create fake reviews or referrals;

  • Manipulate ratings or enrollment systems;

  • Abuse platform tools or systems.

Off-platform conduct that creates safety, legal, reputational, or operational risks for Simones Tutoring may also result in review or enforcement action.

10. Compliance With Laws and Policies

Tutors are responsible for complying with:

  • Applicable laws and regulations;

  • Educational obligations;

  • Child protection requirements;

  • Intellectual property laws;

  • Data protection obligations;

  • Simones Tutoring policies and procedures.

Tutors remain responsible for their own professional conduct and educational activities.

11. Reporting Concerns

Tutors are encouraged to report:

  • Safety concerns;

  • Harassment;

  • Fraudulent activity;

  • Policy violations;

  • Child protection concerns;

  • Technical or operational risks.

Reports should be made promptly through approved Simones Tutoring channels.

12. Enforcement Actions

Violations of this Code may result in actions including:

  • Warnings;

  • Training or corrective guidance;

  • Session restrictions;

  • Account suspension;

  • Permanent removal from the platform;

  • Payment holds;

  • Reporting to authorities where legally appropriate.

Simones Tutoring reserves sole discretion regarding investigations and enforcement actions.

13. Changes to This Code

Simones Tutoring reserves the right to update or modify this Tutor Code of Conduct periodically.

Updated versions become effective upon posting unless otherwise stated.

Continued participation in Services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Code.
