About the Role
As a Debate, Public Speaking & Problem-Solving Tutor / Educator, you will design and deliver lessons that develop students’ analytical reasoning, structured argument, persuasive thinking, and teamwork skills. You will prepare students for competitions such as Model United Nations (MUN), World Scholar’s Cup, and local debate leagues in Dubai, while also enhancing their overall reasoning and communication abilities.
This role is ideal for educators experienced in debate, public speaking, problem-solving, or competitive academic events.
Requirements
Education & Professional Background
Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Communications, Law, Political Science, or a related field
Previous experience coaching students in debate, MUN, problem-solving competitions, or public speaking
Strong subject knowledge in analytical reasoning, structured argument, and persuasive communication
Curriculum & Pedagogical Knowledge
Ability to teach across Upper Primary → Secondary levels
Familiarity with multiple curricula taught in Dubai, including:
British (KS2–KS4 / GCSE)
American (Upper Elementary → High School)
International Baccalaureate (PYP, MYP, DP)
Indian (CBSE / ICSE)
French international schools
Understanding of competition preparation pedagogy and skill progression in argumentation, reasoning, and teamwork
Teaching & Resource Skills
Ability to plan and deliver structured lessons and workshops for debate, public speaking, and problem-solving
Comfortable creating and using resources such as:
Debate prompts and case studies
Public speaking exercises and speech templates
Collaborative problem-solving challenges and practice scenarios
Skilled in providing constructive feedback and fostering student confidence
Communication & Professionalism
Strong verbal and written communication in English
Professional, reliable, and punctual
Able to communicate clearly with students and parents regarding goals, progress, and competition preparation
Legal & Work Eligibility
Must hold a valid UAE visa that legally permits freelance or commission-based work
Valid MOHRE tutoring/teaching permit required
No visa sponsorship or employment benefits provided
Applicant responsible for maintaining their own legal work eligibility
Compensation
💰 Commission-based
Earn a percentage of fees per session or package delivered
Earnings are performance-based and uncapped
