About the Role
As a Regional / National Sign Language Tutor / Educator, you will deliver tailored lessons in a specific sign language to support students’ communication, academic progress, and cultural integration. You will design lessons, adapt learning resources, track student progress, and provide guidance for learners across multiple curricula.
This role is ideal for educators with expertise in sign languages used in French, Indian, Southeast Asian, or other regional contexts.
Requirements
Education & Academic Background
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Linguistics, Special Education, or a related field
Prior tutoring or teaching experience in regional/national sign languages
Proficiency in the relevant sign language, e.g.:
French Sign Language (LSF) – French curriculum schools
Indian Sign Language (ISL) – Indian curriculum schools and Deaf communities
Singapore Sign Language (SgSL), Malaysian Sign Language (MSL) – Expatriate or regional learners
Curriculum & Pedagogical Knowledge
Ability to teach Early Years → Secondary levels
Familiarity with school curricula in Dubai, including:
French curriculum (LSF)
Indian curriculum (CBSE / ICSE, ISL)
International curricula accommodating regional sign language learners (SgSL, MSL)
Experience in supporting cultural inclusion, bilingual learning, and academic progression
Teaching & Resource Skills
Ability to plan and deliver structured lessons aligned with students’ age, curriculum, and learning needs
Comfortable creating or adapting teaching resources in the relevant sign language
Skilled in tracking student progress and providing constructive feedback
Communication & Professionalism
Strong verbal and written communication in English
Professional, reliable, and punctual
Able to communicate clearly with students, parents, and colleagues
Legal & Work Eligibility
Must hold a valid UAE visa that legally permits freelance or commission-based work
Valid MOHRE tutoring/teaching permit required
No visa sponsorship or employment benefits provided
Applicant responsible for maintaining their own legal work eligibility
Compensation
💰 Commission-based
Earn a percentage of fees per session or package delivered
Earnings are performance-based and uncapped
