About the Role
As a Remedial / Support English Tutor / Educator, you will provide tailored lessons to students from Early Years through Secondary who require additional support in literacy, reading, grammar, writing, and overall English comprehension. Your responsibilities include assessing student needs, planning remedial lessons, providing exercises, tracking progress, and adapting teaching strategies to ensure measurable improvement.
This role is ideal for educators experienced in supportive, remedial teaching for struggling learners.
Requirements
Education & Academic Background
Bachelor’s degree in English, Education (English), TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a related field
Prior experience tutoring or teaching students requiring remedial or literacy support
Strong subject knowledge in reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension
Curriculum & Pedagogical Knowledge
Ability to teach across Early Years → Secondary levels
Familiarity with school curricula in Dubai, including:
British (EYFS → GCSE)
American (Elementary → High School)
International Baccalaureate (PYP, MYP, DP)
Indian (CBSE / ICSE)
French international schools
Knowledge of strategies to support struggling learners and bridge skill gaps
Teaching & Resource Skills
Ability to plan and deliver targeted remedial lessons
Comfortable creating and using teaching resources: worksheets, reading exercises, grammar and writing activities
Skilled in giving constructive feedback and tracking student progress
Communication & Professionalism
Strong verbal and written communication in English
Patient, empathetic, reliable, and punctual
Able to communicate clearly with students and parents regarding goals, progress, and expectations
Legal & Work Eligibility
Must hold a valid UAE visa that legally permits freelance or commission-based work
Valid MOHRE tutoring/teaching permit required
No visa sponsorship or employment benefits provided
Applicant responsible for maintaining their own legal work eligibility
Compensation
💰 Commission-based
Earn a percentage of fees per session or package delivered
Earnings are performance-based and uncapped
