Oxford 2027 Admissions Tests: What UAE Applicants Need to Know Now

Sep 29
2 min read

Oxford’s October 2026 admissions-test booking window for 2027 entry has closed. If your child booked, the focus now shifts to targeted preparation and exam-day readiness. If they missed the deadline, contact UAT-UK and Pearson promptly to ask whether any official options remain; do not assume late booking is available.

Oxford Admissions Tests 2027 UAE: which test does your course need?

For families looking for Oxford admissions tests 2027 UAE guidance, the first step is to match the exact Oxford course to its required test. Oxford uses UAT-UK tests for specified courses, and the assessment varies by course. Check the applicant’s course on Oxford’s official list before arranging tutoring.

TARA

Economics and Management; PPE; Experimental Psychology; Human Sciences; History and Economics; History and Politics; and Psychology, Philosophy and Linguistics.

ESAT

Biomedical Sciences; Engineering Science; Physics; and Physics and Philosophy.

TMUA

Computer Science; Computer Science and Philosophy; Mathematics; Mathematics and Statistics; Mathematics and Computer Science; and Mathematics and Philosophy.

Oxford Medicine applicants continue to use UCAT, while Law applicants continue to use LNAT. These are separate test routes with their own providers and deadlines.

Test booking and UCAS are separate

Oxford says UAT-UK registration is separate from UCAS. A submitted or nearly complete UCAS application does not confirm that an admissions test was booked. Check each step independently: course requirement, test booking confirmation, test-centre details, candidate instructions and UCAS submission.

What applicants should do now

  1. Confirm the course and test using Oxford’s admissions-test list and course page.

  2. If booked, find the confirmation and check the test-centre location, timings and candidate instructions.

  3. If booking was missed or details are unclear, contact UAT-UK/Pearson directly and ask what options, if any, are available.

  4. Build a short, focused preparation plan around the right test format, then protect time for rest and exam-day logistics.

  5. Keep the UCAS application, reference and any course-specific requirements moving toward 15 October.

How Simone’s Tutoring can support

A focused consultation can establish the applicant’s course, test, booking status and immediate priorities. We can then match the student with a tutor prepared for the relevant assessment and agree a realistic preparation plan. Course-specific matching helps families spend the remaining time on the right skills rather than generic admissions-test practice.
