About the Role
As a Communication Skills Tutor / Educator, you will work with students across different school curricula to develop their speaking, listening, and presentation abilities. Responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering tailored lessons or coaching sessions
Supporting students with oral assessments, presentations, and public speaking activities
Providing constructive feedback and strategies for improvement
Tracking progress and adapting teaching methods to the student’s level and curriculum
This role suits educators with experience in exam preparation, public speaking, or curriculum-specific communication skills.
Requirements
Education & Professional Background
Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Communications, Drama, Performing Arts, or a related field
Previous experience coaching communication, presentation, or public speaking skills
Familiarity with curriculum-specific requirements for:
Cambridge / IGCSE: English Speaking & Listening Skills
IB DP: TOK, Extended Essay Presentations, Oral Assessments
American Curriculum: Speech & Debate Club coaching, Presentation Skills
French Curriculum: Expression orale, Présentation en public
Indian Curriculum: CBSE / ICSE Public Speaking, Leadership Club coaching
Curriculum & Pedagogical Knowledge
Ability to tailor lessons to age-appropriate learning objectives and curriculum standards
Awareness of skill progression from foundational communication to advanced presentation and exam-level oral assessments
Experience preparing students for internal and external assessments, oral exams, and public speaking competitions
Teaching & Resource Skills
Plan and deliver structured coaching sessions
Provide practice exercises, mock presentations, and feedback tools
Adapt lesson content to different age groups, skill levels, and curricula
Comfortable creating or using teaching resources (slides, worksheets, activity guides)
Communication & Professionalism
Strong verbal and written communication in English
Professional, reliable, and punctual
Able to motivate students and provide constructive guidance
Legal & Work Eligibility
Must hold a valid UAE visa permitting employment or freelance work
Valid MOHRE tutoring/teaching permit required
Freelancers must have a freelance permit/visa
Tourist/visit visa holders are not legally allowed to work
Applicant responsible for maintaining their own legal work eligibility
Compensation
💰 Commission-based
Earn a percentage of fees per session or coaching package
Earnings are performance-based and uncapped
