About the Role
As an International Academic Competitions Tutor / Educator, you will mentor students preparing for prestigious international competitions across multiple disciplines. Your responsibilities include designing practice challenges, guiding students through problem-solving strategies, providing feedback, and fostering interdisciplinary analytical skills.
This role is ideal for educators experienced in Mathematics, Science, English, History, Geography, or neuroscience who can coach students for competitions like Olympiads or specialized knowledge contests.
Requirements
Education & Academic Background
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Science, English, History, Geography, Education, or related field
Prior experience mentoring students for academic competitions or enrichment programmes
Strong subject expertise relevant to the competitions listed
Competitions & Pedagogical Knowledge
Experience or familiarity with:
International Mathematics & Science Olympiads
International Brain Bee (neuroscience-focused)
International History, Geography, or English Olympiads (logic/problem-solving components)
Ability to guide students in team-based and individual problem-solving challenges
Strong understanding of critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and interdisciplinary skills
Teaching & Resource Skills
Ability to plan and deliver competition-focused lessons and practice sessions
Comfortable creating and using resources such as:
Practice problem sets
Mock competition exercises
Analytical and reasoning challenges
Skilled in providing constructive feedback and tracking student progress
Communication & Professionalism
Strong verbal and written communication in English
Professional, reliable, and punctual
Able to communicate clearly with students and parents regarding goals, progress, and expectations
Legal & Work Eligibility
Must hold a valid UAE visa that legally permits freelance or commission-based work
Valid MOHRE tutoring/teaching permit recommended
No visa sponsorship or employment benefits provided
Applicant responsible for maintaining their own legal work eligibility
Compensation
💰 Commission-based
Earn a percentage of fees per session or package delivered
