About the Role
As an International Sign (IS) Tutor / Educator, you will provide lessons in International Sign to learners who require cross-linguistic communication support. Your responsibilities include:
Teaching IS to students from diverse language backgrounds
Supporting integration in inclusive international classrooms
Designing lessons and exercises for Beginner → Intermediate levels
Tracking student progress and adapting lessons to meet individual needs
Collaborating with parents, teachers, and other educators to ensure effective communication strategies
This role is ideal for educators experienced with International Sign instruction and inclusive education.
Requirements
Education & Academic Background
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, Linguistics, or a related field
Prior experience tutoring or teaching International Sign (IS)
Understanding of Deaf education, cross-linguistic communication, and inclusive classroom strategies
Curriculum & Pedagogical Knowledge
Ability to teach Beginner → Intermediate IS levels
Familiarity with any school curriculum in Dubai that accommodates international or DHH learners, including:
British Curriculum (EYFS → GCSE / IGCSE)
American Curriculum (Elementary → High School)
IB (PYP, MYP, DP)
Indian Curriculum (CBSE / ICSE)
French International Schools
Knowledge of inclusive education practices and support strategies for DHH students
Teaching & Resource Skills
Ability to plan and deliver structured IS lessons
Comfortable creating and using resources such as:
Visual exercises and practice activities
Communication scenarios for classroom integration
Collaborative activities for cross-linguistic engagement
Skilled in giving constructive feedback and monitoring student progress
Communication & Professionalism
Strong verbal and written communication in English
Professional, reliable, and punctual
Able to collaborate with students, parents, and other educators
Legal & Work Eligibility
Must hold a valid UAE visa that legally permits freelance or commission-based work
Valid MOHRE tutoring/teaching permit required
No visa sponsorship or employment benefits provided
Applicant responsible for maintaining their own legal work eligibility
Compensation
💰 Commission-based
Earn a percentage of fees per session or package delivered
Earnings are performance-based and uncapped
