About the Role
As a Robotics & Physical Computing Tutor / Educator, you will:
Deliver hands-on lessons using platforms such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, micro:bit, and LEGO Mindstorms
Teach hardware programming, sensors, robotics, and IoT projects
Plan and adapt lessons for Primary → Secondary / Pre-University students
Support students participating in robotics competitions or STEM projects
Track student progress, provide constructive feedback, and develop custom project resources
Requirements
Education & Academic Background
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, STEM Education, or a related field
Prior experience teaching Robotics, Electronics, or STEM projects
Strong technical knowledge in Arduino, Raspberry Pi, micro:bit, LEGO Mindstorms, or equivalent platforms
Curriculum & Pedagogical Knowledge
Ability to teach Primary → Secondary / Pre-University levels
Familiarity with curricula taught in Dubai:
British (KS1–KS4, GCSE / IGCSE)
American (Elementary → High School)
IB (PYP, MYP, DP)
Indian (CBSE / ICSE)
French or other international schools
Ability to integrate coding, robotics, and STEM learning into curriculum-aligned lessons
Teaching & Resource Skills
Comfortable designing hands-on projects and activities
Ability to adapt lessons for students with different skill levels
Skilled in creating and using instructional guides, worksheets, and digital resources
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to mentor students through technical challenges
Electronic Equipment Requirements
Applicants must have their own electronic equipment, including:
Arduino kits
Raspberry Pi kits
micro:bit devices
LEGO Mindstorms
Comfortable guiding students in hardware assembly, coding, and troubleshooting
Ability to maintain safe and organised workspace for experiments
Communication & Professionalism
Strong verbal and written communication in English
Professional, reliable, and punctual
Able to communicate clearly with students and parents regarding project goals and progress
Legal & Work Eligibility
Must hold a valid UAE visa permitting freelance or commission-based work
Valid MOHRE tutoring/teaching permit required
No visa sponsorship or employment benefits provided
Applicant responsible for maintaining legal work eligibility
Compensation
💰 Commission-based
Earn a percentage of fees per session or package delivered
Earnings are performance-based and uncapped
