About the Role
As a Science & STEM Competitions Tutor / Educator, you will deliver structured, challenging lessons for students preparing for science and STEM competitions. Your responsibilities include designing inquiry-based activities, guiding students through experiments, teaching analytical and problem-solving skills, mentoring teams for competitions, and tracking student progress.
This role is ideal for educators with experience in advanced Science, STEM education, and competition-focused training.
Requirements
Education & Academic Background
Bachelor’s degree in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM field
Prior tutoring or teaching experience for Upper Primary → Secondary Science or STEM competitions
Strong subject knowledge and practical lab/experimental skills
Curriculum & Pedagogical Knowledge
Ability to teach across Upper Primary → Secondary levels
Familiarity with school curricula in Dubai:
British (KS2–KS4, GCSE / IGCSE Science)
American (Grades 5–12 Science)
International Baccalaureate (IB PYP, MYP, DP)
Indian (CBSE / ICSE Science)
French international schools
Experience preparing students for competitions such as:
Science Olympiad / International Science & Engineering Fair (ISEF)
British Science Olympiad
National STEM competitions in the UAE
Teaching & Resource Skills
Ability to plan and deliver inquiry-based, competition-focused lessons
Guide students in:
Hypothesis testing
Experimental design
Data interpretation and analysis
Scientific reasoning
Comfortable creating and using resources such as worksheets, experiments, and problem-solving challenges
Skilled in giving constructive feedback and mentoring advanced learners
Communication & Professionalism
Strong verbal and written communication in English
Professional, reliable, and punctual
Able to communicate clearly with students and parents regarding goals, progress, and competition milestones
Legal & Work Eligibility
Must hold a valid UAE visa that legally permits freelance or commission-based work
Valid MOHRE tutoring/teaching permit required
No visa sponsorship or employment benefits provided
Applicant responsible for maintaining their own legal work eligibility
Compensation
