Recently, Dubai announced a plan to open 60 new affordable private schools over the next eight years, making room for around 120,000 students. This comes as part of the Dubai Education Strategy 2033, which aims to raise the quality of education while making schooling more accessible to families of different income levels.
As an educator and tutor working closely with parents every day, I found this news incredibly encouraging. It signals a shift toward greater choice, accessibility, and inclusivity in education — and that can truly make a difference in our children’s lives.

One of the biggest challenges parents face in Dubai is finding a school that fits both budget and values. With these new schools, families will have more options to consider — without feeling pressured into choosing between affordability and quality.
Education leaders have already emphasized that “affordable” should never mean lower quality. Teachers, digital learning tools, and strong learning environments remain priorities — which is exactly what our children need to grow confidently.
