Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Ministry of Education (MOE) Home Study Track Specialist Tutor to support students completing approved home-study or home-education pathways connected to the UAE Ministry of Education curriculum and assessment framework.
The successful candidate will provide structured academic support in accordance with the learner’s registered programme, current curriculum requirements, year level, subjects, assessment schedule, and official guidance. The tutor will help students maintain consistent progress, prepare for required assessments, organise independent study, address academic gaps, and develop the study habits needed to succeed outside a traditional classroom environment.
This role provides educational support and does not replace the responsibilities of parents, guardians, registered schools, authorised examination centres, or UAE education authorities.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct an initial academic consultation with the learner and parent or guardian
Review the student’s registered home-study pathway, year level, subjects, learning materials, and assessment requirements
Develop a structured study timetable aligned with official curriculum objectives and assessment dates
Deliver personalised one-to-one or small-group academic lessons
Teach relevant subjects within the tutor’s qualifications and professional expertise
Support Arabic, English, Mathematics, Science, Islamic Studies, Social Studies, and other curriculum areas where appropriately qualified
Identify learning gaps and create targeted academic intervention plans
Help students organise textbooks, digital resources, assignments, revision materials, and assessment records
Teach independent learning, note-taking, research, time management, and examination-preparation skills
Support students with homework, projects, revision, practice assessments, and curriculum-based tasks
Use approved curriculum documents, textbooks, learning outcomes, and assessment guidance to structure lessons
Prepare learners for relevant school, ministry, placement, equivalency, or progression assessments where applicable
Conduct regular topic tests and mock assessments
Track attendance, lesson completion, academic progress, and areas requiring further intervention
Provide structured progress reports to parents or guardians
Coordinate with subject tutors and learning-support specialists where multidisciplinary assistance is required
Support learners transitioning from home study into a school environment
Encourage balanced routines that include academic study, physical activity, enrichment, social interaction, and rest
Maintain confidentiality, safeguarding, and accurate educational records
Stay informed about current UAE Ministry of Education curriculum and home-study guidance relevant to the role
Clearly distinguish tutoring support from official registration, approval, examination administration, equivalency, or regulatory advice
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Curriculum Studies, or a subject related to the tutor’s teaching specialism
MOHRE Tutor Permit or eligibility to obtain
Minimum 3 years’ experience teaching or tutoring within the UAE Ministry of Education curriculum or a closely related UAE educational setting
Strong understanding of curriculum planning, learning outcomes, assessment, and student progress monitoring
Experience supporting students through structured independent or home-based learning
Strong spoken and written English communication skills
Arabic proficiency where required for the subjects being taught
Preferred Qualifications
PGCE, B.Ed., QTS, Diploma in Education, or recognised teaching qualification
Previous experience in a UAE Ministry of Education school
Experience supporting UAE home-study, distance-learning, or alternative-education students
Knowledge of Arabic-medium and English-medium MOE curriculum requirements
Experience coordinating multiple subjects, tutors, and academic schedules
Experience supporting school reintegration, placement assessments, or curriculum transitions
Training in special educational needs, gifted education, counselling, or academic coaching
Familiarity with digital learning platforms and online educational resources
UAE Licensing Requirements
Tutors and educational specialists operating in the UAE are required to hold a valid MOHRE Tutor Permit or equivalent work authorisation. Applicants must hold, or be eligible to obtain, the relevant permit before providing in-person services.
The successful applicant must provide tutoring only within the scope of their qualifications and authorisation. The tutor must not represent Simone’s Tutoring as a school, examination centre, accreditation provider, equivalency authority, or UAE Ministry of Education representative.
Parents remain responsible for confirming current registration, assessment, documentation, and progression requirements directly with the relevant UAE education authority or authorised institution.

Required Experience
3+ years teaching or tutoring within the UAE MOE curriculum or related educational system
Experience developing structured study programmes and personalised timetables
Experience supporting home-based, independent, or distance-learning students
Experience using curriculum outcomes and assessment requirements to guide lessons
Experience monitoring progress and preparing academic reports
Experience communicating with parents and coordinating multidisciplinary academic support
